Message: Dr. Roby, I hope you\\\’re doing much better after your surgery! I am a \\\”retired\\\” nurse– code for stay at home mom– those orthopedic cases used to set folks back awhile. They always required the most pain meds too! I’ve had my share of hormone issues since puberty, but I am most concerned with my 13 yr. old daughter. She started her period 2 years ago. She has gained 25-30 lbs since then. She is very active (gymnastics and cheerleading) and had been a very healthy eater. Lately she has a big appetite! She has distinct PMS symptoms: overreacting,” panicky episodes with an asthmatic component” during physical exertion and even hives at times. Sounds like hormone sensitivity to me! Is it safe to use drops with a 13 yr. old? Any info would be appreciated! God bless you! JFC
Dear JFC:
It is perfectly safe to use the drops in a thirteen year old. The ProCALM 5 drops contain about one ten thousandth of the amount of progesterone one would find in a birth control pill. Try the ProCALM Drops ten days before her next period. Call me for directions if you wish. 800-842-6349. she is having an allergic reaction to the hormone progesterone. Skin problems, asthma and of course, mood swings are quite common.
Warm regards,
Dr. Roby
