Hormone Allergy and Asthma

Posted by on Dec 27, 2010 in hormone allergy | Comments Off

Why does my asthma get worse as I get further into menopause? Why is it worse during “hot flashs”? Dear Mrs. W.: As you get older your hormone levels go down. This makes you more “reactive”. You will begin to react in an “allergic” fashion to the postmenopausal hormone progesterone. You can block that hormone allergy using my ProCALM Drops. Order those and we will send you a copy of my book, Maybe It Is All In Your Head, at no charge. We correct this using blood studies to determine your hormone imbalance and then using bioidentical hormones to correct any...

Hi Dr. Roby I have a question. Do you think that since I’m allergic to molds and cheese is a mold I might be allergic to cheese, not dairy, just cheese? I haven’t eaten any cheese since I left for Michigan and my skin looks AMAZING!! Also, maybe something in Texas makes it worse?? I don’t know. But is that a possibility? Maggie ps. how did your knee surgery go? Splendid except for the fact that I didn’t really think about how they would do it. Two weeks of the most amazing pain because …he took a saw and sawed off my leg, top and bottom. Today is the first day I...

Migraine Headaches, PMS

Posted by on May 12, 2010 in hormone allergy | Comments Off

Dear Dr. Roby: After reading through the material on your website, I believe that I do have problems with hormone allergy. I am a 31 year old female. I have also had anaphylactic reactions to wasps and bees. I started taking birth control when I got married in December of 2004. That is when my migraines started. On September 25th, 2009, I got a severe headache that has really not gone away since. I can count on one hand the number of days that I have not had a severe headache since 9/25/09. In addition I have had a lot of blurry vision, nasal congestion and sore throats. I have had abnormal...

Interstitial Cystitis Sent: Mon 5/10/2010 1:08 PM To: Russell Roby Subject: progress report Hi Dr. Roby, I have been feeling a lot better. My severe headache finally quit. For the last two days I have only been experiencing very low levels of IC symptoms that I would rate a 1 or 2 (the IC pain was a steady 7 on a scale of 10 when she started the drops just a couple of weeks ago). I decided to go on a grain-free diet for awhile. I am taking 25 mg of 7-keto and using a very small dose of testosterone cream each day. I am trying to get in the recommended long slow distance. I am pretty much out...

Premenstrual Migraine

Posted by on May 7, 2010 in hormone allergy | Comments Off

location: Fort Collins CO Your Question: Hi Dr.Roby, I’ve been reading through your site for maybe a year now and I’m sure that I have an allergy to progesterone. I get horrible premenstrual migraines that are pounding and settle into the left eye. I’ve gotten them since I was a teen. I also get sporadic itchy rashes premenstrually. The irritability makes it tough to be a good wife and mother to 4. I’ve taken Frova for the migraines, but now the cost is $200 for 9 pills since our insurance deductible has not been met. I really want to fix the problem, not just take...

Location: Alden, NY Question: Dear Dr. Roby, I am 37 years old with three children ages 17, 13, and 9. After the birth of my oldest, I started having awful palpitations and shortness of breath. At some point that got somewhat better and I had my second child. After he was born I began to have similar symptoms and was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis. I was told that my T3 was only affected though, so I don’t think I was treated at that time. I had three failed pregnancies after that, one of which was a partial molar pregnancy. I continued to not feel well and have palpitations,...
