autoimmune progesterone dermatitis

Hi Dr Roby

I am 39 yrs old and live in Orlando FL. I came across your web site while reading info on autoimmune progesterone dermatitis. I have suffered with a skin rash on my extremities for 5 years now. No doctor has been able to properly diagnose me. In the end they all just think it is stress related. For years I’ve been telling all the conventional and holistic doctors my condition is worse before my period. No one saw this as a red flag. I always thought there was a hormone connection. I always have the rash through out the month but for about 10 days before my period it is unbearable. After four and a half years I got to the point where this condition was debilitating me. I was desperate! I finally agreed to have a physician put me on prednisone. On 3/23/10 I was out on 40mg for 5 days then lowered to 20mg till 7/16/10. I am presently on 10mg. I responded well to prednisone till 6/18/10 my Gyno prescribed Clomid because he felt that I may have Luteal phase defect. After that my skin stared to relapse….slowly turning for the worst again. I didn’t make the connection that it was increasing progesterone. I went on Clomid for the second time 7/14/10. Again my skin is even worse then last month. I feel I may have autoimmune progesterone dermatitis….or some kind of hormone imbalance. Please if you could guide me in the right path I would greatly appreciate it. I have suffered a great deal and hope you can put an end to it.

Thanks in advance

LL

You already know from reading my material that I believe APD (and any rash associated with periods) to be caused by an allergic reaction to the hormone progesterone. Order my ProCALM drops and call me (800-842-6349) when they arrive so I can coach you in how to use them.

Order my book from Amazon or download it into your Kindle for diet tips, exercise plans and the absolute requirement to avoid hot water and all soap.

I would want you to get your hormones checked to see where your estrogen, testosterone (free and total), progesterone, cortisol and DHEA are. The long term solution is blocking the symptoms with the drops and then balancing your hormones using bioidentical hormones.

Warm regards,

Dr. Roby

Allergy Drops

Dear Dr. Roby and Staff,
I just want to thank you for giving me my life back.
Five years ago, my husband and I moved to the family farm in Seguin, Texas from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Until that move I had never had any allergy problems. After moving here I started feeling badly and for two years I would get what I thought was the flu or colds. I had had neither in ten years. This would happen twice a year, putting me in bed for two weeks at a time and resulting in bronchitis and infections. Finally, I realized I was getting sick at the same time each year. Hmm…, could it be allergies?
A friend told me about the Roby Institute so I called the next day for an appointment. The rest is heaven. I have not had a single allergy attack and very few symptoms since starting the treatment drops a year ago!
“Happy is she who can breathe”, for I am a Yoga instructor.
Again, many thanks for all you do.

Interstitial Cystitis

Hello Dr Roby:

Hope you are feeling better after your surgery. I wanted to thank you for helping with my IC. I have had it for over 10 years and have been to the Mayo Clinic, various specialists and have had tons of invasive tests and procedures including the removal of my uterus. I came to see you about three months ago from Canada and after following your diet instructions and using the drops I have reduced my symptoms by 70%! Everyday seems to get better. Thank you for working so patiently with me and for answering my calls at any time, you are the first doctor who has given me access to all your phone numbers. I will talk to you soon.

God bless you!

Rash, Hormone Allergy

To: Russell Roby
Subject: Kentucky doctors
I have an allergy to progesterone. I have not been diagnosed. Nobody I’ve found in KY knows how to test for it. Do you know of anyone in KY that can? The itching under my chin is driving me nuts. It all started after my fiancé has a vasectomy and I quit using birth control pills. I look hideous two weeks a month because I break out just under my chin the week before my period and it is healing the week after. Nobody should have to live like this, but I can’t find help. I am 31 years old so I’m not sure that removing my ovaries would be the best solution for me. Please help. I want my life back. I’m consistently embarrassed and my children often comment about the bumps on my chin.

Reply: Look at the entries on my blog at www.robyinstitute.com. Progesterone dermatitis such as yours is fairly common. This is a hormone allergy. The technical term is progesterone mediated hypersensitivity. A well known disorder more extreme than your is APD or autoimmune progesterone dermatitis. You can order my ProCALM Drops and use ProCALM 5 daily. Use three drops under your tongue daily for a cycle and I think most of your skin issues will be dramatically better.

Warm regards,

Dr. Roby

Allergy Drops

Your allergy treatment sublingual drops are the best treatment for allergies that I have ever used. Since my last visit in May one year ago I have not had to go to the doctor at all for bronchitis or pneumonia! Your treatment works!

I thank you and your staff for all you have done for me in battling allergies!

Best regards!

R. H. Will see y’all in August!

Fibromyalgia

Dr. Roby:

I have been on bioidentical hormones for about 3 years. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago and also told that I had an allergy to my hormones many years ago. I am 55 and starting menopause. I am experiencing flu-like symptoms – chills, aches and nausea. I have night sweats along with this. With my health history is this normal to be experiencing these symptoms? Do I need to get my hormone levels rechecked?

Thank you,

DJ

Read my section on “hormone imbalance” on the website. Try my ProCALM Drops to block the pain. You can order them off the website.

Yes, I think you should get a new set of blood studies for estradiol, testosterone (free and total), progesterone and DHEA. The night sweats are linked to low estrogen levels and/or an allergic reaction to your own progesterone. The ProCALM Drops block that allergic reaction.

Dr. Roby

IC and ProCALM Drops

Hi Dr. Roby,

I hope this email finds you in better health since your surgery.

I called the office today but Carrie said you had already left for the day. I wanted to ask you a few questions about some new symptoms I’m having and it’s causing me a great deal of anxiety. I was wondering if you can call me so we can discuss these issues over the phone. There are just so many questions I have and I figured instead of me writing you a novel, I can better communicate my issues over the phone.

I do have some great news, however, with my IC pain…I have not experienced much pain at all since I came to your office the week you had surgery…can you believe it…well, I’m sure you can, but those ProCalm drops made me a firm believer. I’m so thankful my husband and I found you. You are my life saver!!!!

Thank you and I look forward to your call, RT

Interstitial Cystitis

Dear Dr. Roby,

If you may remember, you told me to start with vial # 1 (since my progesterone level was good and vial # 5 didn’t seem to help) and take it for three weeks. # 1 seems to help!! I barely have any IC symptoms anymore!! You said that after three weeks you would mail me more vials (stronger ones) and (if I am not mistaken) I would need to take the new and stronger drops once daily. Could you please mail me those?

Thanks so much!

YR

I am happy you are getting such good results. You still need to get your hormones tested as the long term solution is balancing your hormones with bioidentical hormones, diet changes, stress reduction and at least one hour of LSD (“long, slow distance”) every evening. The drops will go out today. Use 3 drops of “Strong ProCALM” daily. This will give you 50 days worth. If you wish to continue after that you order it through Mary at her email address above. The charge is $57.00 per 50 dose vial.

Dr. Roby

Question: I thought the drops would solve the problem. Must I continue to use the drops?

Answer: Some patients never have any more symptoms after just a few days on the drops. But, they are quite young, like teens or early twenties. Most patients control the symptoms with drops for one or two months while they get their blood tested and address the hormone imbalance. As you reach your mid-thirties and forties, you make fewer and fewer reproductive hormones and that won’t get better with drops alone.

Progesterone Dermatitis

Hi Dr. Roby, I have had dermatitis my whole life (I am 27) and over the past few years I have noticed that prior to my period (about 5 days prior) I become incredibly itchy and my face will often “break out”. Acne medication doesn’t’t help but cortisone creams do somewhat reduce inflammation. I have self diagnosed myself with autoimmune progesterone intolerance, which I know would need to be confirmed, but my question is in regards to treatment – would this be treated with such things as prednisone or Armour thyroid ( 2 gr) and testosterone levels between 25 or 30? Would birth control be harmful or beneficial? What about Loestrin?

Dear Ashley:

When you observe that the rash gets worse the week before your period you really hit the nail on the head. This is clearly APD (autoimmune progesterone dermatitis). Read my book for tips of diet and exercise. Order the ProCALM drops and use the “ProCALM 5” vial daily using 3 drops under your tongue morning and night. This caused by a hormone allergy and a hormone imbalance. It is blocked with the sublingual drops (ProCALM Drops) and the long term solution is balancing the hormones using bioidentical hormones.

Airborne allergy can contribute to this as well. Read Maggie’s email on my blog about her eczema clearing up in 48 hours.

Warm regards,

Dr. Roby

Interstitial Cystitis and Elmiron

Dr. Roby:

I have been diagnosed with IC and I’ve been taking Elmiron for 8 month with much success. I would like to find a natural alternative. What can you recommend?

IC Patient

Dear Patient:
If the Elmiron is working you might have to stick with that. You could try my ProCALM drops which we use to block IC symptoms. After using it a week or so you could stop the Elmiron and see if you continue to be free of symptoms. ProCALM is made from natural bioidentical hormones.

Warm regards,

Dr. Roby
