This condition is always linked to a hormone imbalance. Most of these patients know they have a hormone allergy because their symptoms are dramatically worse before or during (or both) their period. We block the symptoms with dilutions of the hormone given as sublingual drops once or twice a day. The underlying problem is changing levels of the hormones estradiol, testosterone, progesterone and DHEA. We have our best sex drive during adolescence and for a few years thereafter. Life expectancy one hundred years ago was mid forties. Nature expected humans to start reproducing after they reached sexual maturity. So, we had our highest levels of sex hormones during high school and college. Remember seventeen?
